Shortly after a Q&A session in the gymnasium, Maguire joined pupils outside on the sports pitches where the 24-year-old was introduced to players from Rawlins and Woodbrook Vale.

Now in its fifth season, the ESFA PlayStation Schools’ Cup is the biggest schools’ football tournament for boys and girls in England, involving over 200,000 children.

In a close game between the two schools from Loughborough, Woodbrook Vale scored a late winner to record a 3-2 victory, despite the hosts hitting the woodwork five times.

Maguire speaks to the pupils about his career in football.

Later on, Maguire proved his artistic skills as he was tasked with painting one of his Foxes team-mates, leading to a portrait of England colleague Jamie Vardy.

Former Sheffield United and Hull City defender Maguire has proven to be a popular figure with Foxes fans of all ages since joining the Club last summer.

That affection was evident once more as he stayed behind to sign autographs and pose for photographs with the pupils of both Rawlins Academy and Woodbrook Vale.

The Foxes defender watched on as the two sides played out an entertaining fixture.

As part of the ESFA PlayStation Schools’ Cup, regional tournaments will take place between September 2017 and March 2018.

The national finals will be held across a three day footballing extravaganza in May 2018. For more information on the competition, click HERE.
