Leicester City’s Academy Squad were unable to prevent Chelsea’s Under-18s from registering a ninth consecutive victory in all competitions on Tuesday afternoon.

After Saturday’s fixture postponement, the young Foxes travelled to Cobham on Tuesday, but goals from Martell Taylor-Crossdale and Charlie Brown secured a 2-0 win for the hosts.

Trevor Peake’s side delivered a spirited performance against the reigning Under-18 champions and it took the Blues until the second half to break the deadlock in Surrey.

A penalty, 16 minutes into the second period, gave Chelsea the lead as Taylor-Crossdale converted before Brown’s close-range finish 10 minutes later doubled their advantage.

Fulham are City’s guests on Saturday 17 March (12pm kick-off) ahead of successive away games at Arsenal, on Saturday 7 April (11:30am), and Swansea City, on Saturday 14 April (11am).

The final outing of the domestic season comes on Saturday 21 April (12pm) when Leicester tackle Norwich City at the Club’s training ground.
