During an intrepid cup run which started at Aston Villa in October, a match which saw City come back from two goals down to win 6-3, City have also defeated Birmingham City and Bristol City so far.

That memorable success at Villa was followed by a 4-0 win at Birmingham before a long trip to Bristol last month yielded a 7-0 victory for the Girls’ Regional Talent Club.

Early on, Lucy Johnson edged Leicester in front with a super long-range free-kick before Rachel Lawrence and Millie Wortley notched braces while Jessica Camwell also added two more from the bench.

A week after the other semi-final, between Manchester United and Reading, City’s Girls’ Regional Talent Club will host Manchester City at Holmes Park on Saturday 17 March (12pm kick-off).
