Leicester City’s Academy side enjoyed a magnificent 3-1 victory over Arsenal in the Premier League U18 South Division in Colney on Saturday afternoon.

Following a 2-1 success over Fulham at Belvoir Drive last month, the young Foxes have climbed to fifth place in the South standings with just two league fixtures remaining.

Conor Tee, on the back of a goal-scoring debut for Republic of Ireland’s Under-18s in March, opened the scoring at Arsenal’s training centre in the 36th minute.

City’s advantage was doubled by Tyrese Shade shortly after the break and, while James Olayinka got the Gunners back into it, Khanya Leshabela made sure of the three points from the penalty spot.

As a result, the Foxes remain in the hunt for a top-three finish in the South standings, with a trip to Swansea City on the horizon on Saturday 14 April (11am kick-off).
