- The Foxes hope to put on an entertaining spectacle for the Club’s fans, according to Morgan

City’s penultimate match of pre-season sees them take on a La Liga outfit that finished fourth last term, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid completing the top three.

Valencia will compete in the UEFA Champions League this term and Morgan knows just how difficult it is to face that calibre of team having helped his side to the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition in 2016/17.

“It’s definitely our glamour fixture out of all our friendlies and hopefully by then we’ll be at our peak, our best,” Morgan told LCFC TV.

We want to be there or there about in terms of fitness and match sharpness. By the time we face Valencia, hopefully we’ll be there.

“Obviously, after that, we’ll be leading into the season, so we want to be there or there about in terms of fitness and match sharpness. By the time we face Valencia, hopefully we’ll be there.

“Hopefully, we’ll have a good turnout. It’s a good tie, a good fixture. Hopefully we can put a show on for them.”

Claude Puel’s outfit will enter their fifth week of pre-season, having spent two of those in Évian, France and Velden, Austria.

They have taken on Notts County, Akhisarspor and Udinese to date, with games against Valencia and Lille to come.

Wes Morgan celebrates with his team-mates after netting an equaliser against Notts County.

The captain continued: “We’re still working on our fitness first and foremost and trying to do the right things.

“The players are getting used to how one another work and that’s the main thing. It’s about putting the pieces of the puzzle together and building to the first game of the season.”

Tickets are now on general sale and are available to purchase here.
