First team coach and goalkeeping coach Mike Stowell says Leicester City are anticipating a tough test when Valencia visit King Power Stadium on Wednesday (7:45pm BST kick-off).

- Mike Stowell believes Leicester City are looking forward to playing at King Power Stadium for the first time this pre-season
- The Foxes entertain Valencia on Wednesday night (7.45pm kick-off)
- Tickets for the game are now on general sale

City host the Spanish outfit on Filbert Way in what will be their only home fixture of pre-season before their Premier League campaign gets underway against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday 10 August (8pm BST kick-off).

Stowell knows the value of the Foxes’ pre-season trip to Austria, where they faced Turkish side Akhisarspor and Italian outfit Udinese in the space of four days.

But City’s exciting clash with Valencia will be the standout one on their pre-season schedule due to the level of talent they will come up against.

“It’s been so long since we played at home,” Stowell told LCFC TV ahead of the game.

“Pre-season camps are great; the pitches have been good and the facilities are excellent but there’s nothing like being at King Power Stadium.

“That’s our home, that’s where our fortress is and that’s where we love to play. Valencia will be a really good test for us.”
