The second round tie, scheduled to take place between 28-30 August, will see the Foxes line up against Joey Barton's side, who sit tenth in League One.
Last season, Claude Puel's City reached the quarter-finals stage of the competition, narrowly missing out on a last-four place on penalties against eventual winners Manchester City.
The Club has lifted the trophy on three occasions, most recently when Matt Elliott's double was enough to seal a 2-1 success against Tranmere Rovers at Wembley in 2000.
A date and kick-off time, as well as ticket sales arrangements and prices for the clash against Fleetwood, will be confirmed shortly and announced on LCFC.com in due course.
