Rachid Ghezzal expressed his delight after scoring a magnificent curler in Leicester City’s 4-0 victory over Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup Second Round on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old winger, a summer acquisition from Monaco, capped off a fine night for the Foxes, scoring their fourth goal from outside the 18-yard box at King Power Stadium.

Reflecting on his full City debut, Ghezzal told LCFC TV: “I am very happy, I feel very well, I’m training very hard and I’m happy to score today.

“It’s my favourite position when I come inside and shoot. I work this position a lot in training. I’m very happy.

“It’s important for confidence to score at home. It’s good for the future.”

Ghezzal knows he must continue to work hard in training to impress Claude Puel and establish a regular starting berth in the Leicester starting line-up.
