“It’s a very good feeling, we’ve had a good start,” the Academy graduate told LCFC TV this week. “Going off last year, we’ve started well and hit the targets we needed to.
“I think we all know what to expect from playing in the Checkatrade Trophy over the last couple of years.
“We played Fleetwood in it last year, it’s very different to Premier League 2 in the types of football that they play. I think we’re very well prepared and we’re looking forward to it.”
City tackle Joey Barton’s Sky Bet League 1 side on Tuesday (7:45pm BST kick-off) – and Choudhury is expecting Fleetwood to pose a stern test at Highbury Stadium.
“To be fair, last year they were a very good side and they’re doing very well in the league now so it’ll be a tough game to be honest,” he added.
“We’ll do work in the next few days on how to deal with attacking threats, while obviously also concentrating on ourselves and seeing how we can expose them.
“We’re in quite a few competitions just like we were last season and so we want to do as well as we can in all of them and hopefully have a successful season again.”
