Leicester City attacker James Maddison has been named in Gareth Southgate’s senior England squad for the first time.

- James Maddison has been called up to the senior England squad to face Croatia and Spain
- Maddison has scored three times in seven Premier League appearances in 2018/19
- Harry Maguire has also been named in the 25-man squad

The Foxes No.10 has been in excellent form so far this term, scoring against Wolverhampton Wanderers, AFC Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.

Maddison could potentially make his senior England debut on Friday 12 October, when the Three Lions take on Croatia in the UEFA Nations League in Rijeka.

Southgate’s men then face Spain in the same competition on Monday 15 October at Estadio Benito de Villamarin, Sevilla.

Maddison joins fellow Fox Harry Maguire in the 25-man squad, as the central defender aims to build on his 14 caps for his nation.
