Choudhury joined the Club's Academy at the age of just seven and, as well as climbing through the ranks, was regularly a ball boy at King Power Stadium. Now, the tough-tackling midfielder is a first team player and an England Under-21s international, as well as being the only person of South Asian origin living in England to currently play in the Premier League.

Hamza, whose father is from Grenada, but whose mother and stepfather are Bangladeshi, starred for both the Club's Under-18s and Under-23s teams during the early years of his development. He was a part of the Under-18s side which became only the second from Leicester to reach the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup in 2014/15, before embarking on a loan spell to Burton Albion.

Thirteen appearances at Pirelli Stadium followed for the Leicester-born midfielder as Nigel Clough's men won promotion to the Championship, prompting the Brewers to extend his loan in 2016/17.

Another 13 outings followed in the second tier before Choudhury returned to Leicester, where we could later captain an Under-21s side to win the Hong Kong Citi Soccer Sevens summer tournament in May 2017. Choudhury retained the Under-23s captain's armband for domestic fixtures the following season, a campaign which would also include his Foxes and Premier League debuts.

Firstly, he held his own in a Carabao Cup success over Liverpool in September 2017, before also starring in a Premier League victory against Tottenham Hotspur the following November. The following season (2018/19) Hamza established himself in the first team, playing a key part in back-to-back victories against Chelsea and Manchester City over the festive period.

In November, meanwhile, Choudhury signed a new contract with the Football Club to 2022 and later represented England at the UEFA U21 European Championship in Italy.

Under Brendan Rodgers' management, he has continued to be utilised regularly, making a total of 29 appearances in all competitions in 2019/20 despite the suspension of football due to COVID-19. Another 22 outings followed in 2020/21, including a cameo in the triumphant Emirates FA Cup victory over Chelsea, while he also netted in Europe during a group stage success over AEK Athens in the UEFA Europa League.

He also helped his side reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2021/22, before spending the following campaign on loan at Watford in the Sky Bet Championship. Returning to Leicester City in the summer of 2023, Choudhury has once again become a useful figure for another Foxes Manager, Enzo Maresca.

That was cemented further in September of that year when Hamza signed a new four-year deal at the Club.
