Chelsea Up Next For City In The WSL
Back in league action following a two-week break, the Foxes are aiming to register their maiden victory of the 2022/23 WSL season against the current champions.

The Foxes camp
The last-gasp 1-0 defeat to West Ham United was another tough result to take for the Foxes, who had ample opportunities to take the lead - and even equalise after Isibeal Atkinson's 88th-minute strike at Chigwell Construction Stadium.
But following his first away game in charge of the side, manager Willie Kirk must pick the side up to go again against the Blues on Saturday, with another important three points up for grabs as City remain 12th in the standings following the opening eight games.
Leicester will hope to have Josie Green back following an injury which has ruled her out of the last three WSL games.
The opposition
Emma Hayes' Chelsea have been in bullish mood since losing 2-1 to Liverpool on the opening day of the league season, winning their next seven matches, including a 2-0 defeat of Manchester City, a 3-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur and overcoming Manchester United 3-1. They sit top of the table by three points, though have played a game more than second-placed Arsenal.
It has been a similar story in the UEFA Women's Champions League, triumphing over all three of their Group A opponents to climb to the summit of the pool. Successes over both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain came either side of an 8-0 scoreline against KS Vllaznia Shkodër.
In the dugout
Emma Hayes' dynasty as Chelsea manager has yielded a total of 13 trophies, with six WSL titles since her arrival a decade ago.
Last season's league and Vitality Women's FA Cup double was the latest silverware to be claimed by the west London outfit, who continue to dominate the English game under Hayes, and they are looking to make their name in European competition after being beaten by Barcelona in the 2021 UEFA Women's Champions League Final.
Last time out
Opponents on three occasions in 2021/22, Chelsea came out on top during each contest, winning 2-0 at Kingsmeadow during the first league meeting in October 2021. Pernille Harder and Fran Kirby scored the goals inside the final seven minutes.
A 7-0 scoreline at the same venue knocked Leicester out of the FA Cup Fifth Round in February 2022, though the visitors had to play the majority of the game with 10 players. The Blues were also 9-0 victors in the league fixture at King Power Stadium a month later.
