King Power Stadium played host to an international fixture, welcoming the Young Lions to the East Midlands as they cruised past France on Saturday evening, with four second-half goals. Defender Thomas made a substitute appearance at his home ground.

Arsenal's Emile Smith Rowe opened the scoring in the 51st minute, then Noni Madueke and Curtis Jones gave England a commanding lead with two goals in as many minutes, before Jacob Ramsey rounded off a great night for the youngsters less than five minutes from the final whistle.

Another home nation taking to the field at the weekend, Wales drew 1-1 with Croatia at Stadion Poljud. Goalkeeper Danny Ward started between the sticks and played the full game for the Red Dragons as they sit second in EURO Qualification Group D.

A second Fox to play 90 minutes for his country was Caglar Söyüncü, who was involved in a spirited comeback which saw Turkey defeat Armenia 2-1. Orkun Kökcü equalised in the 34th minute before Kerem Akturkoglu made it 2-1 in the 63rd, ensuring three points for the centre-back's side.

Two of Leicester City's Development Squad were also in action, as Deniche Hill and Bayli Spencer-Adams featured in a clash between Bermuda and Guyana. Spencer-Adams won the bragging rights over his club team-mate as he started and finished in a 2-0 win for Guyana.

Hill was introduced just after the hour mark, but goals from Liam Gordon and Jeremey Garrett in the 10 minutes prior settled Saturday's scoreline.

The final City inclusion of the day was from Ben Nelson, who started in defence for England Under-19s in their 1-0 loss to Iceland. The only goal came from Orri Oskarsson who scored in 50th min from the penalty spot, after Blackburn Rovers' youngster Ashley Phillips fouled Kristian Hlynsson inside the box.
