Not The Performance We Were Hoping For, Says Barradell

Following a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in which Toby Ononaye scored a late equaliser, the Foxes returned home for the visit or Arsenal in league action.
An early goal from Michal Rosiak sent the London outfit on their way to three points and Barradell was frustrated that City never found their way into the game.
“It was a disappointed performance against Arsenal,” the coach stated. “We conceded early from a free-kick and there were only periods in the game where we showed out true self, so it's not the performance we wanted.
“We’ve been competitive in games this season, but we weren’t good enough against Arsenal and it wasn’t what we were hoping for.
“We felt like we should’ve got something from our reverse fixture against Arsenal, so we went into this one with confidence, but it’s been difficult with several games surrounding the schedule at the moment.”
Away from recent results, Leicester’s Under-18s have seen success elsewhere, with several youngsters becoming regular features for the Development Squad.
“We’ve had a few boys move in to the Under-21s squad that are playing regularly, such as Logan Briggs, Jayden Jospen, Bobby Amartey and Mirsad Ali,” Barradell continued. “It’s good because we see our role as pushing boys through to the Development Squad.
“Although we still want positive results, as well as pushing players through the pathway, it’s about managing that to allow us to have both, and we’ll need to up the performance from last weekend.
“For the Academy staff, that’s the best thing, to create talented individuals for the First Team, and it does bring pride to see that happening at the moment. It’s great to see young boys play well for the First Team.”
Up next for City's Under-18s is a away game against Chelsea, as they face off in the last-eight of the Premier League Cup, and Barradell is hoping for a chance of redemption in Cobham, as they target a shot at silverware.
He added: “Our next game is a quarter-final so it’s one we want to play well in. We played them recently in the league and played well so we’re going into it with positivity.
“We’re hoping to change the fortune we had against Arsenal, put in a good account of ourselves and get through.”
