- Top goalscorer Jamie Vardy described the dedication it took to achieve the feat
- He also thanked the Blue Army for their fantastic support to him personally

A landmark season for the Foxes has ended with a record eighth second-tier title and was followed by euphoric celebrations both on Saturday and Sunday as the Blue Army toasted their successes.

First, there was a trophy lift at King Power Stadium, before a huge party in the city of Leicester as Enzo Maresca's men paraded through the streets, ending at the Clock Tower. Vardy, meanwhile, hit 20 goals for the champions this term.

"At the end of the day, in football, it’s tough to win things," the 37-year-old said on Saturday. "It’s really tough. We knew this season was going to be exactly the same. You’ve seen the standard with how the top four have finished points-wise.

Foxes Lift The Championship Trophy!

Leicester City are presented with the Sky Bet Championship trophy!

"For us to come out on top, as champions, I’m absolutely over the moon."

Leicester's third all-time top goalscorer reserved a mention for his team-mates and his Manager, outlining the commitment levels which were required to see City over the line in a remarkable promotion race.

"It’s been a massive team effort," he added. "Like I said last week, when we played Preston, it could have gone the other way. Obviously, the gaffer came in back in July with new ideas.

Another Trophy Lift At The Clock Tower!

Take in the scenes as Leicester City's title-winners lift the Sky Bet Championship trophy at the end of their victory parade through the streets of Leicester.

"The players have had to get on board literally ASAP and, fortunately for us, because of how we’ve worked on the training field and put it into action in the matches, it’s worked a treat. I think everyone deserves credit.

"The gaffer’s been unbelievable. He’s there walking around and celebrating now, fair play to him. He’ll tell you, he’s at the training ground more than us. He’s probably spending 12/13-hour days there.

"The amount of work that’s put in behind the scenes, just to make sure we’re ready for the games, it’s frightening, it really is. If I’m honest, I don’t know why they all become coaches!

It's Tough To Win Things, Says Vardy

Jamie Vardy speaks after lifting another trophy - a second Sky Bet Championship - in his Leicester City career.

"As a player, we’ve been at the training ground too much, the hours they’ve been there, it’s a credit to them."

The Foxes faithful painted Filbert Way blue on Saturday, with a pre-match tifo dedicated just to Vardy one of many highlights. The former Fleetwood Town striker was taken aback by the gesture and wanted to thank the fans.

"What can I say?" he said. "It means a massive amount. I absolutely adore the Leicester fans. I’ve been here 12 years now, it’s been a long time. It’s definitely got a place in my heart."
