Leicester City striker Tom Hopper will remain with loan club Bury until the new year, after extending his spell with the npower League 1 side.
Tom, 18, initially joined the Shakers on a one-month loan, which expired on Saturday, but will now remain with Kevin Blackwell’s men until Monday 3 January.
Since heading for Gigg Lane in September, Tom has played seven times for the Lancashire outfit, starting on each occasion and scoring twice.
After opening his Football League account in Bury’s 2-2 draw with Stevenage last month, he doubled his tally for the season in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Crawley Town.
The extension of Tom’s loan will make him available for Bury’s home game against Carlisle United on Tuesday night, as the Shakers continue to search for their first league win of the season.
