Schmeichel Returns For Denmark

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel made his first international appearance since returning from a foot injury, playing 90 minutes for Denmark in St. Etienne on Sunday evening.

The Foxes shot-stopper hadn’t represented his nation since November after breaking his metatarsal in training in early December.
Schmeichel made several key saves against 2016 European Championship hosts France, but goals from Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazatte and Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud secured the friendly win for the men in blue.
Schmeichel’s return for City came in the at White Hart Lane on Saturday 21 March.
Meanwhile, Development Squad winger Jack Barmby was an unused substitute for England Under-20s in their 2-1 victory over USA in Plymouth.
Strikes from John Swift and Kwame Thomas handed the young Lions the win, while Maki Tall replied for the visitors late on.
City’s international involvement continues this evening when Wes Morgan, Riyad Mahrez and Liam Moore could all take to the field for their countries.
