Leicester City striker Leo Ulloa says the fans will act as the 12th man ahead of their top of the table clash with Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Ulloa scored his first Barclays Premier League goal of the season in the Foxes’ 3-0 victory over Newcastle at St James’ Park last weekend and believes the spirit in the team will give them a lot of confidence.

Leicester sit on top of the table with 28 points which is worlds apart from this time last year where they were struggling at the foot of the league with 10 points, and Ulloa believes the fans have played a major factor in the turn around.

“They [the fans] are so important for us,” Ulloa told Foxes Player HD. “They always support us in this moment. I didn’t forget last year when they supported us when we were at the bottom.

“They are important not only now but throughout the season, they are one player more and they help us all the time and now the moment is good for us they need to enjoy it. Last year they were amazing and helped us so much and we need to continue.”

The Argentine may partner England international Jamie Vardy who is hoping to net in a record breaking 11th consecutive Premier League game against Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s former club, after equalling his tally last weekend.

He continued: “It’s very good [to score]. It gives me more confidence about the next game and for the start to play. Not just for me, for Vardy and Shinji [Okazaki] as well. It’s important for the strikers to get the goals.

“It’s a difficult game for us, we know that but we are in a good moment, we are confident and we have good spirit. We need to fight in this game.”
