Walking Football provides adults aged 50 and above with the opportunity to stay active, improve their wellbeing and enjoy the social benefits of being part of a team.
A slower-paced version of the traditional game, Walking Football retains the core principles of football while removing running and physical contact, making it a safe, inclusive and accessible way to participate in sport.
The programme supports both physical and mental wellbeing, helping participants improve their fitness, build confidence and develop lasting friendships in a welcoming environment. Sessions take place weekly at a range of venues across Leicester and are open to adults aged 50+.
Whether you are returning to football, looking to become more active, undergoing rehabilitation or trying the sport for the first time, players of all abilities are welcome.
Delivered in a supportive and inclusive setting, Walking Football offers participants the opportunity to enjoy the game, meet new people and remain active as part of a growing football community.
