- Timothy Castagne speaks inside Saturday's edition of CITY Matchday Magazine- Leicester City entertain Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday (12:30pm BST kick-off)- Castagne expects the clash to be a tough but exciting occasion for the Foxes- Fans can pick up their copy of the Club's programme for just £3
The Gunners visit King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday to face a Foxes side who are unbeaten in their last five matches – including victories over Manchester United, Spartak Moscow and Brentford, before Wednesday's Carabao Cup shootout success over Brighton. Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, too, have been in encouraging form, without a defeat in eight outings. In fact, both sides have identical result records in the Premier League this term, although it's Leicester who hold a slender advantage on goal difference after nine games in 2021/22.
Ahead of Saturday's clash on Filbert Way, Castagne spoke to CITY Matchday Magazine to preview the clash. The Blue Army can pick up their copy of the Club's programme outside King Power Stadium for just £3 on Saturday, which will be Leicester City's Annual Remembrance Fixture. "It’s a big game for us," Castagne said. "Last season, we lost 3-1 at home to Arsenal, so that is in our minds. They’re playing very well. I know they had some struggles at the start of the season, but they’re playing much better now. They have quality and they run a lot, which makes them dangerous.
"We’ll have to match that, and show what we can do. As we did against Man Utd, we need to appreciate that they are a good team, but also make them think about stopping us when we have the ball. If we play our game and stay strong defensively, then we have a great chance."
Although with the Foxes for over a year, the 2021/22 campaign has been the first in which Castagne has been able to play in front of a full house at King Power Stadium and the Belgium international has enjoyed the experience so far.
"That has been great," he added. "They always told me that the Leicester fans create a good atmosphere, and it’s great that I can now experience that for myself.
"Obviously, fans returning to stadiums has made away games slightly tougher, but other teams will say the same when they come to King Power Stadium. It has been amazing to have them back this season, at both home and away games."
