says now is the time for Leicester City to show their mettle, replay against Derby County.
The Foxes are aiming to set up a by beating East Midlands rivals Derby at King Power Stadium on Wednesday night.
The priority for Claudio Ranieri’s men is to take each game as it comes and Albrighton believes his side must now show just how strong their team spirit is, starting against the Rams.
“It’s not only the players, but the whole Club as well as the fans need to pull together because ultimately everybody wants the same outcome,” said Albrighton.
“Nobody wants to be down there at the minute and at the end of the season. If we’re all pulling in the same direction at the same time will help us.
“After a defeat, you always went the next game to come as soon as possible because you can’t wait to get back onto the field to try and put things right.
“We can do that against Derby by showing the fans that the fight is still there. We want this as much as everyone else. This competition is massive and we want to go as far as we can in it – that starts on Wednesday night.
“We’re looking forward to it because it’s a chance for us to quickly put the weekend’s result behind us and focus on another game. It’ll take our minds off the Premier League for a day or so, so it’ll be nice to get a good result and progress in the competition.
“We’ve got to take each game as it comes. Our priority right now is Derby in the FA Cup. Once that game is out the way, that’ll be Swansea and that’s how we’ll work on things.”
Albrighton says the Foxes will be hoping to learn from their , but is well aware of the quality that Steve McClaren’s men possess.
He added: “I think we started well and got the early goal which helped, but we never really built on that. We conceded against the run of play and deflated.
“That’s not good enough, so we need to get control of the game early and keep that, especially until half time. Then once the second half is underway, we can build on it.
“If you do get the early goal, you shouldn’t just defend it, you need to build on it. I think we’ve done well this season when we have gone in front. We’ve won every game that we’ve gone in front in and that just goes to show how important the first goal is.
“They’ll definitely be challenging for the play-offs at the end of the season. They’ve got great quality throughout their squad and they’ve got a brilliant manager.
“It’s going to be a really tough game again but we need to be confident. We’re the Premier League side and we need to take the game to them and put them under pressure from the first minute to get the result.”
