Although the Foxes are still competing in the 2020/21 FA Cup, after beating Liverpool and then Manchester United in round four and five, the 2021/22 competition is also set to get underway before the end of the year.

Here are all the details on both competitions…

In which round do Leicester join?

Leicester City will once again enter the 2021/22 competition at the fourth round stage, along with all other WSL and FA Women’s Championship clubs.

The Foxes reached the quarter-finals of the 2019/20 edition, before being knocked out by Manchester City.

When are all the games being played?

2021/22 Vitality Women’s FA Cup rounds will be played on the following dates...

15 August, 2021 – Extra Preliminary Round29 August, 2021 – Preliminary Round12 September, 2021 – First Round Qualifying3 October, 2021 – Second Round Qualifying24 October, 2021 – Third Round Qualifying14 November, 2021 – First Round Proper28 November, 2021 – Second Round Proper9 January, 2022 – Third Round Proper

30 January, 2022 – Fourth Round Proper27 February, 2022 – Fifth Round Proper20 March, 2022 – Quarter-finals17 April, 2022 – Semi-finals15 May, 2022 - Final

Where is the Final?

The final will be held at Wembley Stadium, with the men’s and women’s finals both being played on the same weekend for the first time. The Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday 14 May, 2022 will precede the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final on Sunday 15 May.

What about the 2020/21 FA Cup?

The 2020/21 Vitality Women’s FA Cup will continue at the start of next season for the quarter-final stage onwards. Leicester City have been drawn to face Manchester City away in the last eight, with the fixture scheduled to be played on Wednesday 29 September, 2021 at Man City's Academy Stadium. The kick-off time for the cup clash is yet to be confirmed.
