- Annual Service of Remembrance at King Power Stadium will not take place this year- The ongoing situation with the coronavirus pandemic means it can’t be held- Hundreds of Leicester City supporters usually attend the service

Led by Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall and Club Chaplain Andrew Hulley each year, the event usually takes place at the Remembrance Garden and is attended by hundreds of people.

It gives supporters the opportunity to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed away, while providing comfort to those still grieving.

The Birch said: “We’re saddened not to be able to hold the Service of Remembrance this year as it’s an important date in the Football Club’s calendar, but we must put the safety of our supporters first.

“The event has always been a special occasion for our Club as it has given us a chance to pay our respects and remember the lives of members of the Leicester City family who are no longer with us.”
