- Sophie Barker heads to Sheffield United on loan- Midfielder spent two seasons with the Blades before joining the Foxes- The Blades compete in the Barclays Women's Championship

The 31-year-old re-joins the side that she spent two seasons with from 2018 before signing for LCFC Women in the summer of 2020 and captaining the team that lifted the 2020/21 Women’s Championship title.

Barker played 13 times for the Foxes in the Barclays Women’s Super League last season as the team secured WSL status in their first-ever top flight campaign.

She will now link up with Sheffield United ahead of the new Barclays Women’s Championship season, which is set to get underway in August.
