The Foxes found themselves behind at EBB Stadium in Aldershot, following Callum Hudson-Odoi’s penalty, but Shinji Okazaki headed an equaliser in the 66th minute to secure a point. It’s a result which leaves City top in Premier League 2 Division 1 after five games and Beaglehole, the Academy’s Senior Development Phase Coach, was content at full-time. “I thought it was a much more entertaining game in the second half, I like our team to play forward more,” Beaglehole told LCFC TV.
“I love possession in their half and we got higher up the pitch, we had more of the ball in their half, and consequently we caused more problems and scored a goal.
“We had the best chances in the second-half, without a shadow of a doubt, Shinji got a quality ball put into him and shows what a quality player he is.
“I think from a neutral point of view it was a very good game to watch because there were some very good players on show.
“Not just from Chelsea but from us as well, it wasn’t a typical U23s or academy game. So all in all it’s been a good day and I was really pleased with the result.”
