- Leicester City have been drawn against Burton in the Carabao Cup- The first-round tie will take place over the week commencing 7 August- Confirmed dates and ticket information will be made public in due course

The Foxes, who are three time winners of the competition, will take on the Brewers following their Sky Bet Championship opener at home to Coventry City.

Dino Maamria's Burton finished last term in 15th place in the Sky Bet League 1 standings. The two sides last met in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in 2019, with City winning 3-1 in Staffordshire.

First round fixtures will take place over the week commencing 7 August, with confirmed dates and ticket information to be announced in due course.
