- Hannah Cain commits long-term future to LCFC Women - The forward was a key part of the team’s Barclays Women’s Super League survival- She joined the Club in 2020 from Everton
The 24-year-old joined the Foxes from Everton in June 2020 and has featured for them 35 times in all competitions, scoring eight goals.
The Wales international made a successful comeback from a long-term injury to make 14 appearances for Willie Kirk’s side last term, as the team went on to secure Barclays Women's Super League status for a third successive season.
Speaking to LCFC.com in an interview, she said: "I'm over the moon to have signed an extension. It feels like home here, so it was an easy decision. I'm excited and looking forward to what's instore for us next season. 
"The Club's morals and values align with mine and that was a strong pull for me to stay here. It genuinely feels like home, so it was easy to commit my future to the Club.”
Born in South Yorkshire, Cain began her development at the Sheffield United Centre of Excellence, before joining Sheffield FC Ladies in 2016.
She featured for the then Barclays Women’s Championship side 13 times, before signing for Everton in July 2018 on her first full-time professional contract and went on to make 26 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring two goals.
A move to LCFC Women followed in June 2020 and she helped City to their first ever promotion to the top-flight during her first campaign.
She has represented both England and Wales at youth level, making her senior debut for The Dragons in October 2021.
