While many Premier League clubs joined at the second round stage this week, the Foxes are one of seven clubs who must wait until the next round as they prepare to compete in the UEFA Europa League.
Ahead of the draw, which takes place on Wednesday evening, here's everything you need to know...
When's the draw?
Three-time winners Leicester City will discover their third round opponents when the draw takes place following the final second round tie between West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal on Wednesday.
The Blue Army can find out who their side will face on LCFC.com and @LCFC social media. Who could the Foxes face?
While the first two rounds of the competition were regionalised, the Foxes could face any of the six fellow clubs involved in European football, or one of the remaining Premier League or Football League sides that advance from the second round.
All possible opponents are listed below:

What's new?
If the score is level after 90 minutes in any tie before the semi-finals, the match will go straight to penalties, while the number of substitutions permitted is now three, down from five last term. Clubs can name seven players on the bench, not nine, like is currently the case in the Premier League.
An extra sub will be allowed in the semi-final and final should they go to extra-time. The last-four stage, meanwhile, will also see the return of two-legged ties.
When are the games?
The first five rounds of the competition will be settled before the New Year, as things get more serious in 2022. The final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 27 February, 2022. The third round tie, on the other hand, will be staged between City's Brighton & Hove Albion (A) and Burnley (H) fixtures.
