- Hamza Choudhury is up for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award- The Leicester City midfielder has played in all four Development Squad fixtures - Choudhury captained the side for the Checkatrade Trophy clash at Fleetwood Town- The panel will choose the winner next week from eight contenders

The 19-year-old Foxes man, who has appeared in all three PL2 fixtures so far this season, has been in fine form for the Under-23s after being handed the captain’s armband this month.

Choudhury, an Academy graduate, also skippered City at the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens in Hong Kong, a competition the Club lifted for a second time back in May.

Steve Beaglehole’s Development Squad have started the new campaign well with four points to their name, a total aided by a 1-0 victory over reigning champions Everton a fortnight ago.
