- Steve Beaglehole previews the Premier League 2 clash at Manchester United on Monday- The Leicester City Development Squad are unbeaten in 15 outings in all competitions this term- City fell to a 1-0 reverse against the Red Devils on the opening day of the season- Beaglehole will be without three players for the fixture at Leigh Sports Village
Following the 2-2 draw with Legia Warsaw in the Premier League International Cup, City’s unbeaten run now stands at 15 matches ahead of the Red Devils clash.
Steve Beaglehole’s men are second in the PL2 standings, although they will be without three key men for their trip to the North West.
“The biggest disappointment has been the injuries,” Beaglehole told LCFC TV. “Ade [Muskwe] was brave again and it was reminiscent of his injury at Sunderland last season.
“Josh [Gordon] is out after tweaking his hamstring and Alex [Pascanu] is out too. Two games in a week, in little time; it has become more difficult to maintain what has been a wonderful run.”
On the challenge he expects United to pose, Beaglehole says it will be a tough test but one he believes his side can nonetheless emerge from with an eighth victory of the league campaign.
He added: “We know how much of a test Manchester United will be for us, we saw their quality on the first day of the season, which we lost, but we’ve come a long way since then.
“It’s another opportunity for us to continue the run and for the lads to impress. It’s a busy spell for us but there is no reason why we can’t continue in the same way.”
