Three weeks since the Foxes' victory on Merseyside, they are back in action as they play the Red Devils at Leigh Sports Village. Here is a look at both sides before the weekend... The Foxes camp
It's been a long awaited return to the pitch for Leicester as they haven't been in action since their dramatic 1-0 win over Liverpool, when a clever corner routine was finished off by Hannah Cain. Since Christmas, the Foxes have closed down a seven point gap, and now sit only one behind Reading, with 10 games to go this season. The other three points coming in a home win against Brighton & Hove Albion. During their absence away from the pitch, City had 12 players involved on international duty, while the Foxes will also be boosted by the potential introduction of January signing Remy Siemsen, who has been training with the team this week. The opposition
Sunday's hosts, and current Super League leaders Manchester United, are 11 games unbeaten in all competitions, most recently beating Durham Women 5-0 in the Vitality Women's FA Cup Fifth Round.
Alessia Russo scored in the dominant display and resides as the club's top scorer with six goals this season, however Ella Toone has also been a key figure for the Red Devils season, assisting seven goals.
With 10 wins and only a single defeat in 13 games so far this WSL season, Man Utd will be a tough opponent to take points from as Willie Kirk's side arrive to Leigh Sports Village.
In the dugout
Marc Skinner has been Manchester United manager since July 2021 when he took charge of his second club in the WSL, having managed Birmingham City between December 2016 and January 2019.
With a two year break away from England, in which Skinner was the head coach of Orlando Pride in the National Women's Super League, he returned to take charge of the Manchester outfit, from Casey Stoney.
The 39-year-old has won the WSL Manager of the Month on four occasions, with two of those awards coming in October and December last year.
Last time out
Earlier on the season, Leicester were beaten by Man Utd in a narrow 1-0 defeat at King Power Stadium. Nikita Parris scoring the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute. Last season the Foxes were defeated on both occasions in the league, losing 3-1 on Filbert Way before a 4-0 scoreline in March of last year. City did pick up a Continental Tyres League Cup success at Leigh Sports Village, however, defeating the Red Devils on penalties following a 2-2 draw in normal time.
