says it is important the bond between Leicester City’s team-mates remains as strong as ever as the Foxes face .

The City stopper is under no illusions about Sunday’s encounter with a Swans outfit that sits level on points with his side heading into the clash.

While results in the Premier League haven’t been as consistent as the Foxes would have liked, one thing that hasn’t changed is their team ethic, according to Schmeichel.

“Our togetherness has always been there – it’s unwavering,” Schmeichel told LCFC TV ahead of the game.

“It’s not something that you just lose. We’ve been in great situations and we’ve been in tough situations and those types of things bond you together.

“It’s important that we stick together and we will because that’s we always done and that’s what has brought us success. It’s obviously important.”

A brief pause in Premier League proceedings follows as City contest fixtures against Millwall and Sevilla, but for Schmeichel, focus firmly lies on Sunday’s game.

He added: “It’s a game against Swansea and that’s the most important thing. We’re not thinking about anything after that – our focus has to be on Swansea.

“We need a result like in every other Premier League game. That’s mentality that you have to have.

“You can’t look at what’s after that because in the Premier League if you have focus somewhere other than the game, you’re going to lose.”
