To help British ecommerce businesses grow internationally, DHL offered the opportunity to win free advertising at Leicester City.
More than 100 small businesses applied and now the judges have made their decisions, DHL and Leicester City are delighted to announce the three winners:
- Artifacts Apparel (www.artifactsapparel.co.uk) is an online retailer offering premium menswear of selected brands at accessible prices.
- Shuperb (www.shuperb.co.uk) is an award winning Leicester-based retailer which offers the best choice of comfort and fashion footwear at the best value for money.
- Versa Forma (www.versaforma.com) offers ‘Technical Sportswear, designed for an Active Lifestyle’.
As their prize, the three businesses will be highly visible at King Power Stadium for the Foxes’ fixtures against Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and Crystal Palace.
Their brands will be seen pitchside, reaching 30,000 supporters in the stadium and the millions who tune in to Premier League football around the world.
Shannon Diett, VP Marketing at DHL Express UK and one of the judges, said: "The quality of applications was outstanding, so choosing just three was a very challenging task.
"On this occasion the winners all came from the fashion industry, but we saw strong applications from online stores offering all sorts of products – from decorating supplies to sporting equipment.
"The creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of these businesses should ensure their future success here in the UK and in markets all over the world.”
Jonathan Gregory, Commercial Director at Leicester City Football Club added: "LCFC have an outstanding following across the globe due to recent success, so we are really proud to be able to offer these businesses the opportunity to reach that audience.
"We’re confident that the selected winners will appeal to our fan base and will benefit from this global exposure.”
