The 26-year-old – who made 14 appearances in all competitions for City in 2021/22 – joined the Club from Oxford United in 2018 - making the shot-stopper the Club’s current longest-serving LCFC Women player. A mainstay in the Foxes XI last season, Lambourne kept four league clean sheets as Lydia Bedford’s team went on to retain Barclays Women’s Super League status.
Making vital contributions, Lambourne made a number of key saves in wins over Birmingham City, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion - helping her team secure valuable points.
Speaking to LCFC TV, she said: _"_I am really proud and really thankful to the Club for extending my stay here. When you look at the facilities, the staff we have here, and the girls in the team, it was a no-brainer for me to sign the contract. "The jump into WSL football last season was tough, and we knew it would be tough. However, I believe we can push on next season and finish higher in the table - we are continually looking to improve."
Lambourne, City's Players' Player of the Season last term, is currently in pre-season training as preparations for the new campaign continue at Belvoir Drive.
