- Denmark drew 0-0 with Serbia on Tuesday evening- Jannik Vestergaard played 90 minutes at Allianz Arena - Victor Kristiansen was a late substitute in Munich
Group C came to a close in midweek as Denmark finished second on three points, behind England who topped the group with five after a stalemate with Slovenia, who also celebrated progression in third.
Serbia were the only team to be eliminated as they failed to find a way past the Danish defence which included Leicester City's Jannik Vestergaard. The towering centre-half got 90 minutes on Tuesday, claiming his first clean sheet of the tournament, having played every minute so far in Germany.
Victor Kristiansen, who spent the year on loan with Italian side Bologna, came on as a late substitute, replacing Alexander Bah with a little over 10 minutes on the clock to see out an impressive defensive display.
The draw may not be the result that Denmark were hoping for, but they will be heading through to the knockout stages automatically where they will face hosts Germany on Saturday 29 June (8pm kick-off) at BVB Stadion in Dortmund for a chance to reach the quarter-final stage.
Action continues on Wednesday night for the international Foxes when Wout Faes has an opportunity to qualify for the knockouts, should his Belgium side manage to get past Ukraine in a tightly-contested Group E fixture, kicking off at 5pm BST.
