The Club’s End of Season Awards, held at King Power Stadium last month, celebrated the achievement of the men’s first team, women’s team and academy, as players from across the Foxes family came together for a special evening on Filbert Way.
Academy graduate Dewsbury-Hall enjoyed a breakthrough campaign to remember, making his full Premier League debut in December and later netting his first-ever top-flight goal against Crystal Palace. Goals also came in two European competitions, too, while his all-round energetic displays led to the Shepshed-born midfielder scooping both Players’ Player and Young Player of the Season at the end of 2021/22.
"I go into every game knowing you’re one game away from losing your spot,” the 23-year-old told LCFC TV after receiving his accolades. “You need to do as much as you can and play as well as you can to keep that, not only for yourself, but for the team. That’s always the mentality I’ll have, I’ll always have that. Hopefully that’ll keep progressing me onto bigger and better things." The likes of Andy King, Matty James, Jeffrey Schlupp and Anthony Knockaert have all taken home the prize in years gone by, as have current City stars Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Wesley Fofana in more recent times.
