- Enzo Maresca has offered an update on the condition of his squad- Leicester City host Rotherham United on Saturday (3pm GMT kick-off)- Callum Doyle and Yunus Akgün have been in training sessions this week- Jamie Vardy, Kasey McAteer and Marc Albrighton are not yet ready to return
City's final home match of 2023 sees them host Rotherham United at King Power Stadium on Saturday, with Enzo Maresca's men hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table. Jamie Vardy, Kasey McAteer and Marc Albrighton remain out of contention with their own injury complaints, although Dennis Praet is 'okay' according to Maresca after missing Monday's 3-2 win at Birmingham City. "Yunus is close," the Manager told the media on Friday. "He had his first session with us. We’ll see before Saturday [if he can be in] the squad. Callum, he’s okay. He had a first session with us yesterday. "[Vardy's] still out and it’s still some weeks (for his return). We expected days or weeks and he’s still in the process. Hopefully in one to two weeks, he can be back. Kasey is progressing well but not with us. He didn’t run on the pitch.
"He’s still recovering. He still needs some weeks. Marc is still out. I don’t know if it’ll be days or weeks, but he’s still out."
