- An away trip to Portsmouth awaits Leicester City in the FA Youth Cup- City reached the Quarter-Finals of the competition last term- Dates and times will be confirmed in due course

Under the stewardship of Under-18s manager Trevor Peake, the young Foxes reached the Quarter-Final stage of last season’s competition, narrowly losing out to eventual winners Chelsea.

Third Round ties must be played by Saturday 16 December, unless mutually agreed between the two clubs otherwise. The draw for the Fourth Round, meanwhile, will be made on Friday 8 December.

Leicester's youngsters are currently second in the Premier League U18 South Division, one place and five points behind champions Chelsea.

"We've had a really good season so far," Peake recently told LCFC.com.

"We mentioned last year how young we were, not so much as an excuse for results, but as a grounding for the younger age group that was about to come through.

"You always hope that will give them experience and knowhow that they can use to progress and that is exactly what has happened. It's been a wonderful few weeks for them all.

"The other factor is togetherness and a willingness to learn. They clock up some miles, they are really hard working as a group and some players are catching the eye."
