- Filbert Fox marks his 25th birthday- The official Leicester City mascot has attended over 600 matches - Filbert hosted a special party at King Power Stadium on Sunday
For over two decades, Filbert, who turned 25 on Tuesday 19 September, has appeared at every single matchday at Filbert Street and King Power Stadium – which equates to a massive 617 matches.
Filbert has never missed a home match and has outlasted 17 First Team managers and hundreds of players, bumping into the likes of Kasabian, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho along the way.
He has also made visits to local schools, hospitals and community centres across the entire Leicestershire region, helping raise thousands of pounds for the LCFC Foxes Foundation.
In 2016, however, his greatest honour came when he joined the squad on the pitch and hoisted the Premier League trophy aloft at King Power Stadium.
But, on Sunday, he enjoyed another landmark occasion as he welcomed hundreds of members of the young Blue Army to Filbert Way to celebrate his birthday in style.
With a host of party games and birthday cake for all, Filbert was also joined by Welford and Charlie, the official mascots of Leicester Tigers and Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
Filbert will once again be at King Power Stadium on Tuesday for the visit of Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. If you see him, be sure to wish him a happy birthday!
