City’s squad were put through their paces once more during the latest friendly of an action-packed pre-season schedule which has already involved workouts against Liverpool and Chelsea.
Neil Redfearn’s Blades, meanwhile, finished fourth in the second-tier last season, 12 points behind eventual champions Leicester City, and provided another stern test ahead of the Foxes’ Barclays FA Women’s Super League introduction.
It was another opportunity for LCFC Women manager Jonathan Morgan to work his players physically and tactically as the Foxes continue their summer preparations for a campaign which will see the Club compete with some of the most admired women's sides in Europe.
With just three weeks to go until travelling to take on Aston Villa in the top-flight on Saturday 4 September (12:30pm BST kick-off), all focus has shifted to fine tuning preparations for next month’s opener at Banks’s Stadium.
Manchester United are City's second opponents, at home, later in September before an exciting early schedule of games also sees them tackle West Ham United (A) and Manchester City (A), the latter of which comes in the 2020/21 Vitality Women's FA Cup, extending into this season due to COVID-19.
Foxes fans can continue to follow LCFC Women's progress this summer throughout the coming weeks on LCFC.com and on our official social media channels.
