The Foxes got their hands on the eye-catching black and gold strip during the official players’ photoshoot at the end of last season ahead of its launch at 9:30pm on Wednesday 12 July. With a specially developed polyester material to ensure optimal comfort, the new PUMA kit is equipped with dryCELL technology, making it one of the most advanced City shirts of all time.

Leicester will debut the new strip during their pre-season campaign, which commences at the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong this coming week, following the successful launch of the new PUMA home kit in May. Popular left-back Ben Chilwell, speaking at Belvoir Drive, was among the first to lay eyes on the Foxes away shirt - and he admitted he was delighted with the design.

“It’s a really good [kit],” said Chilwell. “It’s always exciting when you get to see the new kit because it’s something new and hopefully it’s something you’re going to look forward to playing a lot of games in. All the boys have said good things about it and we’re all looking forward to playing in it next season.

"Not just for us, but for the fans as well, because they always turn up in good crowds, wearing the kit, and it’s important for them for it to be a good kit like this.”
