Nominated for the Fans for Diversity award, the group’s work in helping LCFC tackle homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in football, while promoting the welfare of its LGBTQ+ supporters and ensuring King Power Stadium is a safe and welcoming place has been recognised by the judging panel.
Established in 2015, Foxes Pride are a voluntary organisation consisting of LGBTQ+ fans and allies of the Club, and currently have more than 200 members.
The group has worked closely with LCFC over recent years to make football an inclusive environment for all supporters, with key campaigns such as Rainbow Laces and Football v Homophobia celebrated each season.
Graeme Smith, Co-Chair of Foxes Pride, said: “We are incredibly proud to have received this nomination, along with the other organisations shortlisted who all do such fantastic work.
“We know that key to our nomination is the strong relationship with have with Leicester City and the work we do together to ensure King Power Stadium is a safe place for all. 
“We are committed to continuing this work and look forward to further opportunities to change the culture of football.”
The largest supported-led awards in the country, the Football Supporters’ Association awards will see 84 candidates battle it out across 14 categories, recognising everything from the best players of the past year to the best podcasts and fanzines.
The shortlist for the Fans for Diversity award is as follows, with the overall winner to be decided by an FSA panel:
- AFC Autism- Amar Cymru- ESEA Hornets- Foxes Pride- Punjabi Villans- SpursREACH
In February 2022, Leicester City and Foxes Pride were both recognised with honours at the Football v Homophobia Awards.
The Club were victorious in the Professional Game category, while Foxes Pride won the Supporters Group of the Year award.
