Rosie Johnson, Community Specialist Play and Emotional Support Worker for the service, said: “The Christmas period can be a difficult time of year for the children we support, so receiving these gifts will mean so much to them and bring a smile to their faces. Thank you to Leicester City for bringing joy to our service users this Christmas.”
The Football Club supported services at LPT during the COVID-19 pandemic, with large donations being made to the Trust’s charity, Raising Health, for patient and staff wellbeing, including an outdoor sports area for the Beacon mental health inpatient unit and sporting equipment for the young people to use.
Cathy Ellis, Chair of LPT and Raising Health said: “We are grateful to Leicester City for regularly supporting our services, at LPT and want to say a big thank you to the Club for their generous gifts to the children and young people in our care this Christmas, particularly those that will be staying in the Beacon Unit over the festive period.
“This will be a challenging time for our young patients, but we know that these gifts will be greatly appreciated.”
