- Filbert Fox's Friday fitness sessions have been helping to keep Junior Foxes active during lockdown- The Club's mascot was on hand to deliver activities from King Power Stadium- More than 50 participants joined the virtual sessions, which ran for eight weeks- Young fans were able to interact from home, answering quiz questions while also taking part in fitness activities
Leicester City's mascot has engaged with younger members of the Blue Army by promoting physical activity via Zoom video calls, to help keep young fans fit and healthy.
The sessions took place every Friday during home-schooling lunch breaks and ran for eight weeks prior to the children returning to the classroom.
Filbert was joined by Grassroots Co-ordinator Mike Gilmore to deliver LCFC-themed exercises, including 'Söyüncü Squats' and 'Tielemans toe-taps'.
During the 30-minute workouts, participants had the opportunity to answer City quiz questions and share their score predictions for the weekend's game.
Two junior supporters, Faith and Hope, both attended all eight of the weekly workouts along with around 50 other participants, who were encouraged to wear club colours for the sessions.
Parent Joanna Foster also enjoyed the virtual interactions the children were able to create, breaking up their home-schooling day with vital physical activity.
She said: “It has been amazing. The energy and the enthusiasm from the coach and Filbert was incredible. My girls have absolutely loved it. It has been a great initiative by the Club and one of our lockdown highlights."
