Saturday sees the Foxes go in search of a second Sky Bet Championship victory in four days following a 1-0 success over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in midweek. Forced to grind out the result following Jamie Vardy’s early goal, it ensured the gap at the top of the table remains at three points.

Earning his 12th clean sheet of the season, the Dane reflected on a job well done in the North East and how attention has quickly turned to matters at MKM Stadium this weekend.

“It’s good for us as a group to stop this three-game losing streak,” the 23-year-old began. “Of course, we enjoy winning, we love to win and that’s why we play so it’s good to win again and soon it’s Hull away so we’ve just got to keep going.

“We focus on every single game and making a good plan as a team to give ourselves the best chance of winning and we’ll do that again on Saturday.”

Having little time for rest and recover between matches has been a feature of the campaign, given the relentless nature of the Championship schedule and City’s progress in the cup competitions. The end goal is in sight, however, with 10 league fixtures left to play.

“It’s tough,” the shot-stopper explained. “We’ve been doing it a lot this season. We’re coming to a late stage of the season and we can all feel that it has been a long season but we focus on recovery and doing the right things. We’ve just got to stay focused.

“We don’t focus on the atmosphere, we focus on our play, on doing the right things and we know if we do that and stick to our game plan, we have a good chance to win, so that’s really our main focus.”
