- Filbert Fox takes on young members of the Blue Army on EA SPORTS FIFA 21- Over three hours, the Club's much-loved mascot played 10 games - The most dramatic fixture saw Filbert draw 5-5 with young Fox, Leo- Leo scooped a signed Wilfred Ndidi FIFA 21 card as his prize- Events such as these are just one of many benefits of Junior Fox Membership

Although fans are still unable to meet in person, in line with national COVID-19 restrictions, the Club continues to search for new ways to keep the Foxes family together by virtual means.

Filbert found it tough going against a host of excellent gamers throughout the three-hour contest, winning just once, drawing twice and losing seven of his games with members of the Blue Army.

The highlight, meanwhile, was undoubtedly a thrilling 5-5 draw between Filbert and young fan Leo, who were both playing as Leicester City, in a game which included two late goals for either player.

Leo thought he had snatched a late victory against the Club's much-loved mascot, until Filbert himself grabbed a dramatic equaliser to secure a share of the spoils.

"It felt amazing to play Filbert Fox at FIFA 21," Leo said afterwards. "I really enjoyed it and I was looking forward to it all week! The game was amazing, there were two [James] Maddison goals in the space of 10 seconds, one for each team! JM10 is my favourite Leicester player and I love [Harvey] Barnes and [Wilfred] Ndidi too.

"It was a very tight game, a tough game for me, but the lads did great and we were happy with a draw in the end. I'm looking forward to the rematch!"

As a participant in the 'game of the day', Leo was also awarded with a Wilfred Ndidi FIFA 21 card - signed by the Nigeria international himself!

"For the Club to do things like this for young fans is incredible," Ryan, Leo's father, said. "It's proper fan engagement and it keeps youngsters involved with the Club when we can't physically be there.

"Leo was absolutely buzzing to be involved and doesn't stop talking about it. With this and 'Fitness with Filbert', both Leo and his brother Bailey have something Leicester City-based to do every week.

"I am a huge believer in engagement at this level and, from the Club's perspective, it ensures that kids have memories for life, that is priceless. These activities are so positive in a time that is so tough for us all.

"The best thing for all parties is that there is zero cost to these activities and they mean absolutely everything to the kids. I'm really pleased our club are doing this and I hope that more people get involved when they can."
