Leicester City has passed the 10 million mark in social media connections across the Club’s main platforms.
Social media provides clubs with the opportunity to engage directly with their fanbases globally and the Foxes are no different with exclusive imagery, behind-the-scenes access, competitions, ticket information, and in-depth written and video content populating the Club’s social feeds each day.
With over six million followers on Facebook, the world’s most popular social media website, City are the seventh best supported Premier League club, below just Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
On Instagram, meanwhile, the Club can boast 1.7 million followers, putting them in sixth place in the English top flight. With over 985,000 followers on Twitter, the Foxes are also close to reaching another landmark as they approach a million unique followers.
In 2016, when City's status as Premier League champions was confirmed, the subsequent tweet from the @LCFC handle became the most popular sport-based post in the platform's history with 389,040 retweets.
As the Club looks to expand its reach into different areas globally, updates also find over half a million users on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, in use by well over 30 per cent of internet users.
