After looking back on the Club's eight seasons between 2000/1 and 2007/08 last month, LCFC.com's daily picture series has moved on to happier times over the past week.
Guided by Nigel Pearson, the Foxes won promotion from Sky Bet League 1 at the first attempt in 2007/08, amassing 96 points along the way, as they lifted the third tier title.
Following Championship play-off heartbreak in Cardiff a year later, Pearson departed, to be replaced by Paulo Sousa, before Sven-Göran Eriksson's tenure in charge on Filbert Way.
The return of Pearson, though, from Hull City in 2011, allowed the Club to build the foundations for a Premier League return - a dream they would achieve at the end of the 2013/14 season.
Since then, City performed the 'Great Escape' from relegation the following year, before stunning the world to lift the Premier League title itself under Claudio Ranieri in May 2016.
An intrepid run in the UEFA Champions League, to the quarter-finals stage, then followed for Leicester, who were putting into place a series of plans to build for the future both on and off the pitch.
'I Grew Up On The Filbert Street Terraces' - Wright On Playing For CityStriker Tommy Wright grew up supporting Leicester City and made his debut for the Club as a 17-year-old substitute against Leeds United in 2002.
Records & Milestones - Leicester City At The FIFA World CupAs the football world prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which starts on Thursday, our history on the game's biggest stage provides plenty of stories worth revisiting.
Remembering When The Foxes Wore WhiteIn 72/73, we adopted, for one season only, an all-white home kit with blue trim - a move away from the blue home kits which have been synonymous with Leicester City both before and after.
‘An Unforgettable Experience’ – Izzet’s FIFA World Cup MemoriesIn one of several interviews over the years with Club Historian John Hutchinson, Muzzy Izzet, a star midfielder for Leicester City between 1996 and 2004, recalled playing for Turkey in the 2002 FIFA World Cup Semi-Final against eventual winners Brazil.
