About The Role
As part of its new state-of-the-art training facility, Leicester City Football Club will be launching its new Sports Turf Academy, with this we have a brand new workshop for servicing our extensive fleet of grounds-care equipment.
Working closely with the Workshop Manager and his team, this role will offer the right candidate the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a qualified Sports Turf Technician. The successful post-holder will learn to conduct routine maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment used to develop and maintain world-class sports turf facilities. 
You will be working on-site at our world-leading training ground as well as undertaking residential off-the-job training at the John Deere Training Centre in Radcliiffe-on-Trent. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the employer for the duration of the apprenticeship.
Who We’re Looking For 
The ideal candidate will be able to
  • Use their own initiative to balance the requirements of the role with the learning programme
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail as you learn to service and maintain turf machinery whilst maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Work as part of a team, working and learning alongside the Club’s workshop staff and colleagues from John Deere.
