- LCFC Women host London Bees in the FA Women's Championship on Sunday (2pm kick-off)- The game, which will be played behind closed doors at Farley Way Stadium, is dedicated to Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign- City will be aiming for a third straight league win after beating Coventry and Lewes in November- Live match updates will be available via LCFC Women's official social media accounts
LCFC.com provides the key information you need ahead of this weekend's fixture, including team news, how to follow the action and a look at the opposition.
The Foxes camp
City are searching for a third straight league victory when the Bees travel to Quorn, after successes over Coventry United and Lewes
The Foxes remain one point behind leaders Durham, but with Sheffield United and Liverpool breathing down their necks, there is little margin for error.
Leicester will turn their attention to the Continental Tyres League Cup on Wednesday 9 December, when they face WSL side Birmingham City in Solihull.
Three To Watch
Forward Lauren Pickett has scored twice for the Bees so far this season, in two 1-0 wins over Lewes in league and cup. The 22-year-old is into her third season with the club after signing from Tottenham Hotspur in July 2018.
Amelia Hazard, 20, is another young player the Foxes will have to watch out for. The England Under-21 international came through MK Dons' academy before signing for Arsenal in February 2018. She made the move to London Bees ahead of 2019/20 and quickly impressed as a skilful, attacking midfielder with an eye for goal.
Welsh international Charlie Estcourt came through the ranks at Reading, enjoying loan spells at Bristol City and Charlton Athletic ahead of arriving at London Bees in the summer of 2020. The 22-year-old midfielder netted a stunning long-range free-kick in defeat to Durham earlier in the campaign.
Opposition Form Guide
London Bees ensured a tough start to the season, losing their first seven games, but have since won three of the last five in all competitions - against Charlton Athletic and Lewes, twice.
However, a 6-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last time out knocked the Bees out of the Continental Tyres League Cup.
Next up, after their trip to Quorn, Lee Burch's side welcome Coventry United to The Hive on Sunday 20 December (2pm kick-off).
Team News
LCFC Women manager Jonathan Morgan said: "Demi Lambourne has got to have an operation on her ankle due to ligament issues, so that's got to be fixed and she'll be out for a few months. It's very unfortunate for Demi, we'll all gutted for her because it will be a long-term injury, but we know that she'll come back stronger and better.
"Other than that, we're almost there with a fully fit squad. Hannah Cain is now back in training, she won't be ready for the game on Sunday, but it's good to get her back in amongst the girls and actually kicking a ball again."
Last Time Out
Leicester and London Bees played out a thrilling 3-3 draw the last time to the two teams met at Farley Way Stadium in September 2019.
The Foxes raced into a two-goal lead thanks to early strikes from Leigh Dugmore and Lucy Johnson, before Lauren Pickett and Nikita Whinnett drew the visitors level with strikes either side of the break.
Pickett thought she had snatched victory for the Bees with her second goal in the 85th-minute, but Natalie Johnson's late equaliser saw the points shared.
How To Follow
Live match updates from the behind-closed-doors encounter will be available on LCFC Women's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and all the post-match reaction from the Foxes camp after the full-time whistle, including interviews and extended match highlights, will be posted on LCFC TV.
